 Scholarships 2018

Every year Trinity UCC in Gowanda give scholarships to our youth. We are proud of all of them and want to help them with their higher education.

Congratulations to Taylor Edington, Matthew Kruszka, Joseph Kruszka, and Andrew Kruszka for receiving the MacDonald Scholarship. The MacDonald Scholarship is an endowment in memory of Jack and Katherine MacDonald for members who are continuing their education.

Andrew also received the Weyand Scholarship. The Weyand Scholarship is given to any member who is a graduating senior and is attending a place of higher learning. It is a lasting memorial to Gladys M. and Frederic Weyand.

We want to thank those members and their families who honored Trinity with the privilege of continuing their passions of helping the youth of our church family.

Trinity UCC’s Community Meal

Trinity UCC's Community Meal effort is entering it’s 7th year. It all started in 2010 as an idea from our members who wanted to find a special way to give back to our wonderful neighborhood of Gowanda. The Free Community Meal was “born”, and our first meal was January 27, 2011. We are very proud of our members and their efforts to keep this meal going and also adding a giving table, where there are free items to anyone who needs them, clothing, shoes and some household items.

There have been over 6000 people served, there has never been a charge but free will donations are accepted to offset the cost of the food. There has been music, special book readings, a play area for the kids, and also lots of laughs and fellowship. We are handicap accessible on Erie Avenue.

The meals are served on the 2nd Saturday , January through November. The time is 4 to 6 pm, it is “all you can eat” while you are here and it will continue to be a free meal where everyone is welcome. All the meals are homemade, including the desserts.

Come on down and join everyone at the little white Church on the corner and enjoy some good food and fellowship. Thank you to the community for all of their support for the past 6 years. Trinity members are grateful for this opportunity to serve our neighbors.

Trinity United Church of Christ, 30 Erie Avenue, Gowanda 532-3004, we are also on FaceBook as Trinity Ucc Gowanda.
